I'm Nomiki Petrolla, and I built Theanna after 15 years as a product leader watching brilliant women struggle to access the networks, knowledge, and support that male founders take for granted.

Through my experience leading product strategy across healthcare, fintech, AI, and enterprise SaaS, plus mentoring at Techstars and teaching at Miami University, I kept seeing the same thing happen. Brilliant women with great ideas, but they'd hit the same walls. Every single time.

Not because they lacked capability, but because they lacked access. Access to technical knowledge. Access to founder networks. Access to the unwritten rules of building and scaling tech companies.

So in 2022, I decided to do something about it. I launched PDS Lab, the world's first product accelerator exclusively for women. As that program grew, I realized we needed something bigger, a platform that could provide ongoing support, not just cohort-based education.

Traditional accelerator programs accept 1-3% of applicants. That leaves 97-99% of aspiring female founders without structured support. Meanwhile, women receive only 2% of venture capital. Not because of capability gaps, but due to systemic barriers. Limited access to investor networks. Confidence challenges made worse by gender bias. And lack of founder communities that address women-specific obstacles.
